The screen is responsive, it's bright enough and multitouch. Ultimately it's an Android tablet. You can also customize the home screen as you want. Apps like Navigation and YouTube work really well. I like the radio interface, but obviously no HD Radio or SiriusXM. They have decent built-in amps, certainly better than the stock Toyota unit.
It’s 12” screen. If it’s the 12” screen, it’s touch-enabled for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay only. Touch screen is not available in the Mazda infotainment/settings screens and you must use the control dial. If you have the CarPlay screen open showing your phone apps and not moving then touchscreen will work.
1. Glitch in the monitor. This is the primary reason that Mazda owners should be aware of. Mazda issued a service bulletin for the 2014-2016 Mazda 3 and repaired the “ghost touch” problem for free. It means you could just go to the Mazda dealership and get a new screen. But there is one problem – the bulletin states that the warranty is
I've plugged the phone in to the correct USB port but the setting remains grayed out. Update: I was trying the touch screen in Android Auto, not the Mazda interface which I now understand doesn't work ever (how annoying). Still can't get AA to work again though. Last edited: Jul 31, 2020.
The CX-50 and CX-90 already have wireless charging, wireless CarPlay, and CarPlay touch screen functionality. With the CX-9 gone after the 2023 MY, that leaves the yet unannounced 2024 MX-5 Miata as the only Mazda model not yet confirmed to finally have touchscreen and wireless functionality available for Carplay. Press Off to turn touch screen display Off. Touch screen display can be turned on by pressing any button on the commander. Select System to adjust touch screen display according to time of day. Press Day, for daytime mode. Press Night, for night mode. Press Auto to let screen automatically switch according to headlight illumination conditions. 5. Scroll down and select an Android Auto compatible device. 6. Scroll down and select Touchscreen in Motion for All Devices. All devices connected to Android Auto can be controlled via the touchscreen while the vehicle is in motion with the box checked. "Touchscreen in Motion is only available on the 2022 Mazda Cx-50". -3. On my Ford Focus, however, the touchscreen is much more matte than a glass screen so this may not apply to vehicle touchscreens. I'm not sure on the CX-5 itself. I will say that, lately with the ongoing pandemic, I test drove a CX-5 that a dealer had obviously "sanitized" the interior with something that had scratched all the plastic surfaces.
The touch screen of your Mazda CX 30 switches on and off for no reason: In this situation it is highly likely that you are the victim of a short circuit. Check the state of your fuses and connectors, if you can’t locate anything, take your motor vehicle to a motor vehicle electrician who can fix the issue. To get more tips on the Mazda CX 30
Mike E January 26, 2021. The Mazda CX5 Audio system problems can be caused by bad wires or damaged speakers. Much more commonly though they will be caused by a bad fuse. To get to the fuse box look to the left of the steering wheel look for a small seam or crack along the dash. Using a screwdriver or prybar you will want to pop this open. Make sure the ignition is switched off, and other switches are off. Open the fuse panel cover. Pull the fuse straight out with the fuse puller provided on the fuse block located in the engine compartment. Inspect the fuse and replace it if it is blown. Insert a new fuse of the same amperage rating, and make sure it fits tightly.
launch automatically. There are also multiple, user-friendly ways to access and get started using Android Auto from the MAZDA CONNECT™ home screen. COMMANDER CONTROL • connected, the easiest way to quickly access AndroidOnce Auto from the MAZDA CONNECT™ screen is to press and HOLD the Home button until the Android Auto screen appears
May 2009 edited April 2014. I just took delivery of a new 2009 Mazda CX-9 last week, and already, I am experiencing a problem with the touch screen system. When I am moving from screen to screen, the actual touch screen "buttons" go dark so that they will not activate. This has happened on the bluetooth screen and the navigation setup screen.
I've had 2 negative instances with my '18 infotainment screen. In one instance the screen went black when I put the vehicle in reverse. No back-up camera showing.
DO NOT touch the VCM and DLC cable to prevent noise and a poor connection. Connect the AC adapter to the PC in order to stabilize voltage fluctuation during reprogramming. DO NOT use the vehicle battery outlet as a power source for the PC. During reprogramming, connect a battery charger to the vehicle with the charge current maintained
If your Mazda’s screen is not working, the first thing you can try is rebooting the infotainment system. To do this, simply turn off your car and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, turn the car back on to see if the screen starts functioning properly.
The camera cover is made of plastic. Do not apply degreasing agents, organic solvents, wax, or glass coating agents to the camera cover. If any are spilled on the cover, wipe off with a soft cloth immediately. Do not rub the camera cover forcefully with an abrasive or hard brush.
As a CX-5 owner and former/future Miata owner, my main challenge when reporting on Mazda is to be fair and unbiased because I hold the brand in such high regard. However, all of the news should be

1. Commander knob (selection): Rotate or slide the commander knob to highlight/select the on-screen functions you want to use. 2. Commander knob (select): Depress the commander knob to select the desired on-screen function you want to use. 3.
